Wanda Peebles, Executive Vice President, Acute Care, Chief Nursing Officer
Wanda Peebles came to JPS from a nursing consultant role and brings many years of health care experience from health systems in Florida and Alabama. She has served in a variety of clinical and leadership roles including chief nursing officer at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Peebles also served for 29 years at Sacred Heart Health System, including 10 years as Vice President of Perioperative Services. Her strengths include Joint Commission readiness, leadership development, process re-engineering, and connecting staff at every level to improve the patient experience.
She is a registered nurse and has a degree in health science/healthcare administration from the University of St. Francis, a Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) and a Master of Business degree in Healthcare (MBA). Peebles spent most of her career at an organization founded by the Daughters of Charity with the mission to serve the poor and those patients most in need. This philosophy has guided her in her career which has ultimately led her to JPS.
